Common questions
Do emails to my attendees cost extra?
Passes, confirmations and receipts are always free. Announcements and invitations you send through EventGen use email credits: every package includes some (2,000 on Essential, 5,000 on Standard, 10,000 on Full), and more are RM 100 for 10,000. They never expire. Send through your own email sender instead and they cost nothing.
Is EventGen a subscription?
No. You pay once per event: Essential is RM 3,500 and Standard RM 5,500, and your organisation's first event is RM 2,500 on Essential or RM 4,000 on Standard. Full is quoted for each event, from RM 6,000. Payment unlocks publishing; you choose when to publish. Paid-ticket fees and optional data retention are additional.
Why is Full quoted rather than priced?
Full events (paid ticketing, roadshows with rewards, trade shows with lead capture) vary much more in what they need from us. We price each one after a short conversation, from RM 6,000, so a single-day activation doesn't pay for a multi-city roadshow's setup.
Is there a discount for running several events?
Yes. Event packs of 5 or 10 Essential or Standard events cost 10% and 15% less than paying for each event on its own. You buy them in the console and set up an event from the pack whenever you're ready. Pack events never expire.
Is there a limit on visitors?
No. Every package covers any number of visitors, registrations and exhibitors. The packages differ by what the event does (programme, exhibitors, paid tickets, rewards), not by how big it is.
What does the visitor passport actually do?
Visitors keep their passes and profile in one account. Returning visitors can reuse their details when registering. Event records remain subject to the event’s data-retention period.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Build a free draft and rehearse in a separate, watermarked sandbox with all modules and up to 20 test visitors. The sandbox is never public.
How do I get paid for tickets?
On Full, buyers pay by card or FPX and each ticket is paid out to your own Stripe account once it settles — the ticket price less Stripe's processing fee and a 0.5% EventGen ticketing fee. Connect Stripe once and every event after is paid out automatically.
Can the event page live on my own domain?
Yes. Custom event-page domains are included in every package after domain verification. White-label console branding is available on Full.
Does it work without wifi at the door?
Door scanning can queue check-ins offline and sync when the connection returns. Prepare your devices and rehearse before the event.
What happens to attendee data after the event?
Three months of post-event retention are included. Extend with a one-off payment for a block of months. Without an extension, the archive process removes personal event data after reminders and the grace period.
How does EventGen handle personal data?
The platform includes consent controls, data export, erasure requests and event retention settings. Review the privacy notice and configure these for your event.
Can my agency resell EventGen?
Yes. Manage permitted client events while EventGen invoices the client directly. Commission accrues on eligible paid invoices at your agreed rate, with monthly statements. Request partner terms to get started.
How do I get started?
Request a free sandbox and tell us your event type. We will help you explore the platform and choose a package. Prepare your content, rehearse, pay for the package and publish when ready.
Can I import the attendees I already have?
Yes. CSV attendee import is available from Standard. Review consent and the imported details before sending invitations.
What if I need a custom website?
Every package includes an API for event content. Your own website can use EventGen underneath. Contact us to discuss integrations or requirements beyond the standard platform.
