Terms of service

These terms apply to EventGen, operated by Genact AI Studio Sdn. Bhd. ("we"). Using the platform means accepting them. A signed agreement with us overrides anything here that contradicts it.

What you are buying

EventGen is sold per event. Creating an organisation, drafting events and running sandbox copies cost nothing. When an event goes live you pay once for the package chosen — Essential, Standard or Full — and that payment covers that event for its lifetime, including the free retention period that follows it. Upgrading mid-build costs the difference between packages. There is no downgrade once a setup is paid.

Invoices and payment

Invoices are issued by Genact AI Studio Sdn. Bhd., due within 14 days, and payable by bank transfer or card. An event goes live once its setup invoice is paid. Where paid ticketing is used, buyers pay Genact AI Studio Sdn. Bhd. through Stripe, and each paid order is paid out to the organiser's connected Stripe account once it settles, less Stripe's processing fee and a platform fee on the amount kept after refunds. Stripe does not return its processing fee on a refund; a refund made after a payout is recovered from that payout or from later ones. A chargeback is recovered from the organiser in the same way, together with the payment provider's dispute fee; if the dispute is decided in the organiser's favour, everything but that fee is returned.

Messaging credits

Messaging credits are prepaid for messages Genact AI Studio Sdn. Bhd. sends on an organiser's behalf. They are credited once their invoice is paid, are shared across the organisation's events, and do not expire. Credits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another organisation. While an organisation is suspended its credits are frozen; if the organisation is closed, any remaining credits are forfeited. Registration confirmations, passes, receipts and account messages never use credits.

Refunds

A setup fee is refundable in full if you have not taken the event live. Once an event is live it is not refundable, because that is the point at which the platform has done what you bought it for. If we fail to deliver something you paid for, we will fix it or refund it — tell us.

Your data is yours

You own the event data you put into EventGen and the attendee data your event collects. You can export it at any time. We process it to run the platform for you and do not sell it, share it with other organisers, or use it to market to your attendees. A visitor's passport belongs to the visitor.

Acceptable use

• Do not use EventGen for anything unlawful, or to send messages the recipient did not consent to.
• Do not upload content you do not have the rights to, or that is designed to harm somebody.
• Do not attempt to access another organisation's data, or to probe or overload the platform. Responsible security research is welcome — email us first.

We may suspend an account that breaches this, and will tell you why.

Availability

We aim for the platform to be available whenever your event needs it, and we schedule maintenance away from event days wherever we can. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on the standard packages; if your event needs one, talk to us before you buy.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim relating to an event is limited to the fees you paid us for that event, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.

Ending it

You can stop using EventGen at any time; a live event's fee is not refunded. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a full export of your data.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction.
